Our Business Fibre Broadband is referred to as FTTC broadband – Fibre to the Cabinet broadband. This means super-fast fibre optic cables are used to connect the telephone exchange to a cabinet in the street close to your business.

A standard phone line then brings the connection from the cabinet into your business. As copper wires are only responsible for the “last mile” of connectivity, there is less signal degradation or interference. That means you get super-fast speeds.

The line is contended, however, so you may notice fluctuations in speed, particularly at peak internet connectivity times. Also, there is no Service Level Agreement (SLA) in place with this option. If you think you need a dedicated connection, or your business relies on the internet enough to require an SLA, you should look at our Ultimate Fibre Broadband and Leased Line options.
